Moving to Germany is a long project, not a single application. This guide gives a step plan that works whatever your profession.
A five step plan
- Choose a target profession and check whether it is regulated in Germany.
- Get your qualifications checked through the official recognition database (anabin or the recognition portal).
- Start learning German early. Many jobs and all official forms use it.
- Apply for roles from reputable employers and compare at least three offers.
- Apply for the right visa once you hold a job offer.
Where to check facts
The federal portal Make it in Germany lists visa types, recognition steps and a recognition guide in English.
Red flags and scams
- Anyone who asks you to pay for a job offer, a permit or a “guaranteed” visa.
- Adverts with very high pay for beginners, or with no interview.
- Contact only by WhatsApp, Telegram or a free email address, with no company website or address.
- Look-alike government sites. Use only the official government website for the country.
If you think you have been targeted, stop paying, keep every message and receipt, and report it to your local police. You can also email us at admin@jobsbroads.com.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need recognition?
For regulated professions such as nursing or medicine, yes. Other jobs may not need it.
How long does it take?
It depends on documents, the state authority and the profession. Plan months, not weeks.
