Registered nurses and physical therapists are on Schedule A, which skips the PERM labor certification step. It does not skip the visa queue.
What Schedule A does
- The employer files the I-140 petition directly with USCIS.
- Nurse practitioners, CRNAs and occupational therapists are not on Group I.
- Your priority date still decides when you can move forward.
Candidate requirements
| Profession | Needs |
|---|---|
| Registered nurse | Full unrestricted state licence, passing NCLEX-RN, credential evaluation for foreign trained nurses |
| Physical therapist | PT degree, passing NPTE, state licence |
Timing: CGFNS certification can take 3 to 6 months or longer. The article reports 18 to 24 months from I-140 filing where EB-3 dates are current. Source: F1Jobs, 16 May 2026.
Physicians
Physicians are not on Schedule A Group I. Check other routes with a lawyer.

- Adverts with very high pay for beginners, or with no interview.
- Contact only by WhatsApp, Telegram or a free email address, with no company website or address.
